Research on Educational Effectiveness: Methods that Matter Location: Hyatt Regency, Crystal City, VA The second annual conference of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness (SREE) will be held on March 1st – 3rd, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, Virginia. Progressing beyond the invited papers format, this conference will broaden participation by offering: Consistent with SREE’s mission, the 2009 conference theme is focused on methods that matter for research about how best to educate students and the technical features of educational research that produces trustworthy knowledge about cause-and-effect relations for a range of critical outcomes. The conference will bring together a community of individuals interested in the application of scientific research methods to pressing education issues, problems, and questions. David Kaplan and Barbara Schneider are serving as co-chairs of this year's conference. Key Dates
