EdPolicyWorks is a collaboration between the Curry School of Education and Human Development and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy which seeks to bring together researchers from across the University of Virginia and the State to focus on important questions of educational policy. In collaboration with policymakers and practitioners, we strive to conduct research that advances educational and economic opportunity for socioeconomically-disadvantaged individuals, from birth through the workforce.

We are looking to fill a number of research and project support positions to support our growing portfolio of large-scale projects tackling policy issues ranging from early childhood education, K-12 teacher quality, college access, and workforce supports. We are seeking talented individuals at all levels (BA, MA, & PhD) and are open to immediate or summer 2019 start dates. Come join our collaborative community of researchers.

EdPolicyWorks is a collaboration between the Curry School of Education and Human Development and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy which seeks to bring together researchers from across the University of Virginia and the State to focus on important questions of educational policy. EdPolicyWorks Research Specialist: This position is ideal for recent graduates who want to gain hands-on experience conducting applied, quantitative, education research. Applicants who may ultimately pursue graduate studies in education, public policy, etc. are encouraged to apply.

EdPolicyWorks Research Specialist Intermediate: This position is ideal for individuals with an interest in conducting rigorous, quantitative policy research. Applicants with the intention of ultimately pursuing doctoral studies in education, public policy, economics and related fields are encouraged to apply.

EdPolicyWorks Research Specialist Senior: This position is ideal for individuals with strong expertise in their research field. In partnership with our faculty, they will conduct and lead rigorous, quantitative research that will directly inform policy issues ranging from early childhood education, K-12 education reforms, college access, and workforce supports.

EdPolicyWorks Post-Doc Associate: This position is for scholars with an interest in analysis related to early childhood education, K-12 teaching, and behavioral science. Post-doc associates participate in projects led by a mentor or co-mentor.

EdPolicyWorks Early Childhood Project Associate: This position is for an organized person to serve as the point person for multiple large-scale research projects related to early childhood education policy and initiatives aimed at improving access to high-quality early childhood opportunities for children ages 0-5.
